About your trial account

When you first login to your trial account, take a moment to review and become familiar with the configuration.

  1. Click on 'Account Settings' to review the fields defined for accounts and contacts; the roles defined for your account and the users added to your account.
    1. Account fields (click on 'define fields for accounts') define the information (fields) for companies in the system. Your account is configured initially with a single account field.
    2. Contact fields (click on 'define fields for contacts') define the information (fields) for contacts in the system. Your account is configured initially with two contact fields.
    3. Roles (click on 'manage the role(s) defined for the system') define roles that users of iDM play. Access to iDM features and reports are determined by role. The configuration of workflow events that are triggered from responses to a dialog can include roles. Your account is configured initially with a three roles.
    4. Users (click on 'manage the users of the system') define users of iDM. Your account is configured initially with a two users (yourself being one of them).
  2. Click on 'Dashboards' to review the dashboard defined for the your account.
  3. Click on 'Dialogs' to review the dialog configured for the your account.

Getting started

  1. Click on 'Dialogs' in the menu to display the 'Dialogs' page.
    1. From the 'Dialogs' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing dialogs', click on 'display a list of dialogs to manage'.
    2. From the 'Dialog list' page, click on the 'add a response to the dialog' image (center image) to the left of the 'Sample dialog'.
    3. Complete the dialog (make sure to provide your company name, name and email address when asked), and click 'Submit' to submit a response to the dialog.
  2. Click on 'Accounts and Contacts' in the menu to display the 'Accounts and contacts' page.
    1. From the 'Accounts and contacts' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing accounts', click on 'display a list of accounts' to see your company listed.
    2. From the 'Accounts and contacts' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing accounts', select the 'All accounts' report from the 'view the report' list to view the account report.
    3. From the 'Accounts and contacts' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing contacts', click on 'display a list of contacts' to see your name listed.
    4. From the 'Accounts and contacts' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing contacts', select the 'All contacts' report from the 'view the report' list to view the contact report.
  3. Click on 'Dashboards' in the menu to display the 'Dashboards' page.
    1. From the 'Dashboards' page, click on the 'view populated dashboard' image (left image) to the left of the 'Sample dashboard' to view the dashboard.
  4. Click on 'Dialogs' in the menu to display the 'Dialogs' page.
    1. From the 'Dialogs' page, under the section titled 'Options for managing dialogs', click on 'display a list of dialogs to manage'.
    2. From the 'Dialog list' page, click on the name of the dialog 'Sample dialog' to display information for the dialog.
    3. From the 'Dialog' page, under the section titled 'Report options', select one or more of the reports from the 'view the report' list to view a report for the dialog. There are eight reports configured for the dialog.
    4. From the 'Dialog' page, under the section titled 'Report options', click on the 'view summary statistics for the dialog' link to see statistics for the dialog.
    5. From the 'Dialog' page, under the section titled 'Report options', click on the 'view the individual responses for the dialog' link to see a list of responses to the dialog.
  5. Click on 'My Alerts' in the menu to display the 'Alert list' page. If you checked 'Alert' for the 'Select one or more of the following workflow events' question when you completed the dialog, you will see one alert in the list
  6. Click on 'My Tasks' the menu to display the 'Task list' page. If you checked 'Assign task' for the 'Select one or more of the following workflow events' question when you completed the dialog, you will see one task in the list
